The souks in Abu Dhabi are for such worth a visit for their bustling atmosphere, variety of goods and the traditional Arab way of doing business. For a few dirhams a porter will carry your bags for you while you carry on looking around the souk.
Al Ain Souks
Also known as the central or Old Souk, the Al Ain Souk is a fantastic place to explore and soak in the local atmosphere. It’s a great place to practice your bargaining skills while hunting for local home wear including pots and pans plus fruit and veg.
Carpet Souk
Just off the Meena Road near the main port this is a great place to get your machine made carpets, majilis style cushions and mattresses.
Iranian Souk
This is a working port where you will be able to pick up great Iranian products such as glass items and terracotta urns. Also good for plants.
Mwaifa Souk
This is the more modern souk with a long strip of shops
